FNs World Food Programme (WFP) har seks tiår med erfaring i å støtte skolemat- og helseinitiativer, og samarbeider med mer enn 100 land for å etablere bærekraftige nasjonale programmer.
Mens rekordmange mennesker flykter fra krig og konflikter, øker bekymringen for at fremgangen i kampen for å utrydde sult globalt kan be reversert.

Nye funn viser at antallet av sultne mennesker i verden fortsetter å stige, og har nå økt til 821 millioner i 2017. Dette tilsvarer én av ni mennesker, ifølge rapporten The State of Food Security and Nutrition in the World 2018, som ble lansert i dag.
