Klokken er ikke engang tolv i Satara, en avsidesliggende landsby i Nigers sørvestlige Tillaberi-region, og gradestokken nærmer seg allerede 40 grader. Den asfalterte veien til landsbyen er humpete og sandete.
Hver dag i tre år drømte syvbarnsmoren Yar Mayom Arok om å vende tilbake til hjemmet sitt i Jalle, en liten sørsudansk by i utkanten av Sudd - Afrikas største våtmark.
Hun og familien flyktet fra hjemmet sitt i 2020, da flomvannet fra den nærliggende elven Nilen brøt gjennom en demning og oversvømte byen deres i den sentrale delen av landet.

FNs World Food Programme (WFP) er den ledende humanitære organisasjonen som redder og forandrer liv, leverer matassistanse i katastrofesituasjoner, og arbeider med lokalsamfunn for å forbedre ernæring og bygge motstandskraft.
Som mor til to barn var det ikke enkelt for Jeanette fra Rwanda å finne arbeid på en gård. "Ikke alle arbeidsgivere vil ansette en kvinne med små barn. Vi hadde ikke råd til å betale for sykeforsikring eller låne land der vi kunne dyrke våre egne avlinger", sier hun.
Tobarnsmoren Agustina fra Guatemala syntes det var vanskelig å få endene til å møtes.
Sosial beskyttelse kan hjelpe mennesker med å håndtere risikoene de står overfor, som fattigdom, sosial ekskludering, ulikhet og matusikkerhet, og beskytte de mest sårbare mot sjokk og påkjenninger gjennom hele livet.
Regjeringer er FNs World Food Programmes (WFP) hovedpartnere. Gjennom hvert steg av planleggingsprosessen rådfører WFP seg med nasjonale og lokale myndigheter.
Klokken er ni om morgenen i Kiribiri, en støvdekket liten landsby i det nordøstlige Nigeria. Yagana Bagare er på vei til et lite stykke land utenfor landsbyen, der hun nylig plantet mais.
Selv om det fortsatt er tidlig om morgenen, er varmen intens. Noen ganger blir det opp mot 45 grader. Med det stopper ikke Yagana Bagare fra å gå veldig fort.
