"Det er bare en måte å beskrive det jeg så på: apokalyptisk. Hele nabolag er jevnet med jorden, hjem er ødelagt, skoler og butikker er stengt, liv er revet i stykker. Omfanget av ødeleggelsene her er virkelig ubegripelig", sa direktør David Beasley i FNs World Food Programme (WFP) etter å ha besøkt den jordskjelvrammede regionen Hatay i det sørlige Tyrkia 25.

"The State of Food Security and Nutrition in the World" er en årlig rapport som er utarbeidet av FAO, IFAD, UNICEF, WFP og WHO for å informere om fremgang i kampen for å få slutt på sult, oppnå matsikkerhet og forbedre ernæring og for å gi en grundig analyse av sentrale utfordringer for å nå dette målet i sammenheng med bærekraftsmålene.
Programmet "Building Climate-Resilience for Food and Nutrition Security of Smallholder Farming Households in Teso Sub-Region in Uganda" vil prioritere familier ledet av kvinner i Kaberamaido og Katakwi-distriktene i Teso.
